Calculate Footing Bar Bending Schedule (BBS) & Steel Quantity in Footing

Footing Length  = 2000 mm          

 

Footing Width   = 1500 mm

Thickness                  = 300 mm

 

Diameter of all bar  = 12 mm

Spacing both sides = 150 mm

 

Clear cover                = 50 mm

No. of Bar              = Total length of bar / Spacing +1

 

No. of main Bars  = Width of footing / Spacing +1

 

                                 =  1500 / 150+1 = 11 nos.

No. of Bar              = Total length/Spacing +1

 

No. of Distribution  Bars =  Length/Spacing +1

 

                                                =  2000/150+1 = 14 nos.

 

Cutting Length of Main Bar =( Total length – 2 x Cover) + 2 ( Thickness – 2 x cover)- 2 x bend deduction

= (2000-2 x 50)+2(300-2 x 50)-2 x 2 d

 

= (2000-100) + 2( 300-100) – 2 x 2 x 12

 

= 1900 + 400- 48

 

= 2300-48 =2252 mm (or convert in meter)

 

                    = 2.252 m

For 11 nos. of bar = 11 x 2.252

 

                                   = 24.772 meter.

 

Cutting Length of Distribution  Bar =( Total length – 2 x Cover) + 2 ( Thickness – 2 x cover)- 2 x bend deduction

 

= (1500-2 x 50)+2(300-2 x 50)-2 x 2 d

 

= (1500-100) + 2 ( 300-100) – (2 x 2 x 12)

 

= 1400 + 400- 48

 

= 1800-48 = 1752 mm or convert in meter

                

                  = 1.752 m

 

For 14 no of bar = 14 x 1.752

 

                               = 24.528 meter.

 

Total Length of Bars = Main bar Length + Distribution Bar Length

 

= 24.772 + 24.528 = 49.30 meter.

 

Total weight of Steel = Diameter x Diameter

 

                                       = 162 x L

                                      =    12 x 12

                                      =   162 x 49.30

                                      =   43.877 Kg.
